Welcoming the "Athithi"

The Indian subcontinent had at one time, in its very ancient past, an extraordinary refinement in its culture.

There was a whole embellishment in its understanding of the term "A-Thithi" (un-scheduled). It stood for someone who visited your home, with good intent, and without the formality of an appointment. 

To that someone, your home was always supposed to be welcoming.

In that tradition, gentle reader, I welcome you to this home.
